Kjeld Tolstrup has been bringing the coolest sounds to dance floors around the world since 1981. Spinning everythign from glamorous electro, lo-fi disco, alternative rock, to down n’ dirty house music, Copenhagen’s “IdiotDJ” worked the late night NYC club kids at mr. BLACK into a frenzy.
It’s no surprise looking at some of his gigs during the 25 years of DJing ranging from The Royal Danish Wedding, The Olympic Games In Athens, the Tour De France in Paris to spinning at The Cock in NYC!
His club All DJ´s Are Idiots – was the first Scandinavian club to present a mixture of alternative rock and electronic music, differing from the increasingly stale house sound. From 2001 to 2004 the club introduced Copenhageners to top DJ´s and personalities like Tiga, Arthur Baker, The Scissor Sisters, Bloc Party, Headman, The Glass, WhoMadeWho, Erlend Oye.
